A group of anglers from Paris led by Jean Carlo Oriotti arrived in Courtmacsherry on the 24th June to sample some of the best fishing in Ireland.On the 25th on the charter boat while reef fishing in the Bay we caught Pollack,conger,Ling,cod,Bullhuss,Dogfish,Coalfish,Cuckoo wrasse,Pouting and mackerel a plenty for Bait.
On the 26th we tried to catch ton up skate but had no luck,we did however catch plenty of Pollack on the drift and good conger and ling at anchor.On the 27th with a box full of Mackerel we deceided to go for the Blue Shark with favourable conditions, wind force 4to 5 and sunny,with the first line out and the rubbdubby trail giving out a good slick we had the first run after 20mins,however we lost this fish as the line broke,we hooked up with 9 fish on the day and landed and tagged 4 the heaviest a Blue of 2.05m(see Gallery).
